I am very excited for this evening’s concert at the ICA Boston at 7:30pm. We have been rehearsing Georg Friedrich Haas’ In Vain for the past week, and things are really coming together. Parts of this work have specialized lighting effects, including portions of the work where we play in complete darkness! The hour-long, rarely heard, monumental work is the only piece on the program tonight. It is a sonic experience of light and sound that you just can’t miss.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online or at the door. There is a student discount available. Please also come to the reception after the concert, to meet the performers and have some tasty refreshments.
The ICA can be reached by T, by taking the silver line to the courthouse or world trade center stations from south station.
This Boston premiere is going to be excellent, and I hope to see you there!
